Crow at Pere Lachaise

Units in Stock: 1
Product Code: CACMM1O
Product Condition: New
An original mixed media artwork of a French crow at the famous cemetary of Pere Lachaise in Paris.

We visited Pere Lachaise in 2024. It was an absolutely beautiful summer’s day and as it was early in the morning, the cemetary was empty and so quiet. Many people you would have heard of have been laid to rest there, Edith Piaf, Oscar Wilde, Jim Morrison, and so much history to the place. Graves are surrounded by plants and trees and, of course wildlife. On our tour around, we were followed by a crow who occasionally flew ahead to perch on an ancient monument and regard us, or tell us off for disturbing his sanctuary. it would have been rude not to paint him and his glistening feathers!

This is an original artwork A3 in size, in a cream mount, 32x41cm. It is painted in watercolours, irredescent watercolour and spirit based marker pen. The picture is signed.
